Suncatcher (At Home Exhibit 04-2023)

"Suncatcher" Recycled gift wrappers, journal ephemeras, and stamped colored paper. Somewhere in the province, where the blazing sun has always been the norm. There lies an introvert where house chores, making art and semi-zoo, gives color to a humble haven, escaping the heat the outside brings.
(Details) For the 3D effect to be more appreciated, I wanted to play with shadows. I used different levels for the elements to feel that they are inside shelves. I used die cut stencils for the leaves while others are manually. Craft punchers were also used for some intricate patterns.
Another angle showing the levels.
I added my dog who passed July 2022. He would always be with me whenever I would do chores or art, and waits patiently for his walks. I always remembered how he would lie down on the red-orange colored floor standing out with white fur.
I also added my owls. Not because I am crazy bout owls but, they are inspired from the owl clay pots I used to hand paint before and how everything started from then.
Here is a copy of my artwork with my fellow artists' at the Philippine Book Festival last June 2023.
